Information We Collect
We collect information you give us and information we gather automatically when you use thepeaceofmindbydesign.com and everything we publish or sell under the Peace of Mind by Design brand, including our website, newsletters, free and paid digital products, tools and calculators, mobile or web applications, live programs and cohorts, one-on-one coaching, communities, and related content or services.
From you, this may include your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, account and login information, purchase history, billing details, calculator and worksheet inputs, cohort or coaching submissions, community posts, testimonials, and any messages you send us. Full payment card numbers are handled by our processors and are not stored by us.
Automatically, we may collect device and usage data such as IP address, general location, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, clicks, session duration, referring pages, and email engagement, using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies.
We do not intentionally collect government IDs, Social Security numbers, precise geolocation, health data, or full bank or card numbers. Please do not send sensitive documents by email.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies for a few purposes:
- Essential cookies keep the site and checkout working and can't be turned off.
- Analytics cookies (for example, Google Analytics) help us understand how visitors use the Services so we can improve them.
- Marketing/advertising cookies or pixels, if used, help us or ad platforms measure and deliver relevant advertising.
You can control cookies through your browser settings or the cookie banner on our site. Where analytics or advertising cookies are used, you can opt out using the methods described in Your Rights below, including Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals, which we honor where required by law. We do not respond differently to the legacy Do Not Track browser signal, but GPC is treated as a valid opt-out request under California law.
How We Use Your Data
We use your information to deliver the products, programs, and communities you signed up for, process payments and refunds, send receipts and account updates, and provide customer support. With your permission, we also send newsletters, launch announcements, and educational emails, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.
We use analytics to understand how the Services are used so we can improve them, personalize what you see, and build better tools and content. We use limited information to keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet our tax, accounting, and legal obligations.
We do not use your personal information to train third-party artificial intelligence or large language models. Some of our service providers may use AI-assisted tools to help us operate or build the Services, but any personal information they process is handled under their own privacy and security commitments to us, not used to train their models on your data.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not knowingly share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under California law. If that changes, or if we use cookies or pixels that qualify as a "sale" or "share" under applicable law, you will be able to opt out using the methods in Your Rights below. We share information only with the service providers that help us run the business, such as Stripe, Kajabi, Stan Store, ConvertKit, Mailerkit, Framer, Squarespace, Base44, Softr, Lovable, Skool, Google Workspace, and similar vendors, and only to the extent needed. We may also share information with professional advisors, in response to lawful requests, and in connection with a business transfer.
Legal Basis for Processing (EU/UK/EEA Residents)
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your information based on: performance of a contract (to deliver products or programs you've purchased), your consent (for marketing emails and non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time), our legitimate interests (to improve, secure, and operate the Services), and our legal obligations (such as tax and accounting recordkeeping). We do not make solely automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Your Rights
You have real choices about your information. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, request a portable copy, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any message. You can manage cookies through your browser or the cookie banner on our site. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required by law.
California residents have the right to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law, except to the extent noted in Cookies & Tracking Technologies above. You also have the right to appeal if we deny your request; to do so, reply to our denial email and we will review the decision.
EU, UK, and EEA residents have the rights described above under the GDPR and UK GDPR, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence.
Residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and others as they take effect) have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal information, and to appeal a denied request. Contact us using the information below to exercise any of these rights.
To exercise any right, email support@thepeaceofmindbydesign.com from the address associated with your account. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 45 days, with a possible extension). We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Data Protection
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable vendors with their own security programs. No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account or information has been compromised, email support@thepeaceofmindbydesign.com right away, and we will notify you as required by applicable law if we determine your information was affected by a breach.
Retention. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above. As general guidelines: account and purchase data is kept for the life of your account plus a reasonable period after; billing and transaction records are kept as required for tax and accounting purposes (typically up to 7 years); marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe plus a reasonable wind-down period; and community or coaching submissions are kept while the relevant program or community is active, or as needed to resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
We are based in the United States, and our vendors may operate here and in other countries. When we transfer information across borders, we rely on lawful mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses or vendor certifications under approved frameworks.
Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for adults. They are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy is incorporated into our Terms and Conditions by reference. We may update it from time to time, and when we make material changes, we will update the Last Updated date and, when significant, notify subscribers.

If you have questions, need assistance, or want to know more about our data practices, we encourage you to contact us.
